Odessa R-VII Public Foundation 2016 Grant Recipients
Third Grade Teachers - OUE -Presented By Jennifer Smith
The Odessa R-VII Public Foundation Board of Directors presented teacher grants on Friday, February 12, 2016. Sixteen grant applications were approved. Grants (totaling $11,230.50) were distributed to the following staff members by the Odessa R-VII Foundation Board of Directors. Congratulations to these recipients:
- Donna Gwodz – Odessa High School - $ 750.00. The grant will be used to purchase a Mimio Teach Interactive Board for her mathematics classes.
- Kelly Ogle – Odessa High School - $390.25. The grant will be used to purchase an Apple IPad Mini and case for her Foreign Language classes.
- Kelsey Smith – Odessa High School - $390.25. The grant will be used to purchase an Apple IPad Mini and case for her Foreign Language classes.
- Allan Twilligear – Odessa High School - $750.00. The grant will be used to purchase a telescope for his classes and the Science Department.
- Michelle Cicle – Odessa Middle School - $750.00. The grant will be used to purchase two iPad Minis, two Otter Boxes and applications for her Practical Living class.
- Rachel Ritter – Odessa Middle School - $750.00. The grant will be used to purchase an art printer and ink for her art classes.
- Matt Rouillard – Odessa Middle School - $750.00. The grant will be used to purchase a Chromebook, two headphone / microphone sets and a one year subscription to Fluency Tutor for Google.
- Katherine Shroyer – Odessa Middle School - $750.00. The grant will be used to purchase four standing desks for her classroom.
- Anna Dillon and Kathy Frerking – Odessa Upper Elementary - $750.00. The grant will be used to purchase new leveled reading book packets for students in the building.
- Cassie Luppens and Pat Jones – Odessa Upper Elementary - $750.00. The grant will be used to purchase scripts, materials for sets, costumes and miscellaneous items for a school play.
- Bobbie Long / Kim Bell / Annette Robinson – Odessa Upper Elementary - $750.00. The grant will be used to purchase four sensory seat mats, four Kore Wobble Stools, four Maxafe Balls and two Riverstone and Par-a-chutes for the students in the building.
- Third Grade Teachers - Odessa Upper Elementary - $750.00. The grant will be used to purchase Amtrak train tickets associated with the field trip to the State Capital, Governor’s Mansion and Supreme Court Building in Jefferson City.
- Kasey Kelmel – McQuerry Elementary - $700.00. The grant will be used to purchase Social Studies Resource Boxes, Scholastic News Magazine and Science Learning Centers for her classroom.
- Johnna Lorenz – McQuerry Elementary - $700.00. The grant will be used to purchase two instruction / activity program and supplies for students / parents. This grant will help to strengthen parent knowledge and connections with Early Childhood Special Education.
- Beth Wagner – McQuerry Elementary - $700.00. The grant will be used to purchase Assessment Kits to assist struggling learners throughout the building.
- Jeff Wood / Pam Smith – McQuerry Elementary - $700.00. The grant will be used to purchase new leveled reading packets in their classrooms.
