The Regular Board of Education Meeting was conducted at the Odessa High School Media Center beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The following members were present: Aaron Dillon, President; Brian Young, Vice President; Tahnami Gittinger; Henry Grubb; Brian Madsen, Ronnie Steelman and Tim Wulfekotter

FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS:

• Approval of Meeting Agenda (Vote 7-0)
• Approval of Consent Agenda Items (Vote 7-0)

REPORTS:(No Action)

• Board of Education communications were presented
• The academic focus featured McQuerry Elementary Students (Sharing Primary Writings)
• Superintendent Brinkley provided an overview of the following information:
  • Teacher Appreciation Week (May 5-9, 2014)
  • Administrative Building Report
  • Monthly Financial Update

CURRENT BUSINESS:

• The Board of Education approved the following Out-of-State Trip Request: (Vote 7-0)
  • Odessa High School Student, Hannah Scott, to attend the National History Day Competition, College Park, Maryland, on June 15-19, 2014
• The Board of Education approved the following Program Evaluations (Vote 7-0)
  • Child Care
  • S.O.A.R.
  • Early Childhood Special Education
• The Board of Education approved the Computer Literacy Scope and Sequence Grades 3-8 (Vote 7-0)
• The Board of Education approved the English Language Arts Curriculum (Vote 7-0)
