Odessa Middle School - Evelyn Morgan & Tia Saxon - Presented by Board Member Brett Nickels

The Odessa R-VII Public Foundation Board of Directors presented teacher grants on Friday, February 14, 2014. Eleven grant applications were approved. Grants (totaling $7,485.00) were distributed to the following staff members by the Odessa R-VII Foundation Board of Directors. Congratulations to these recipients:

• Tresina Alvested and Glenda Weber – McQuerry Elementary - $750.00.  The grant will be used to purchase Think and Roll (for chairs), concentration cushion, cover, junior ball chair with rollers for special needs students in Kindergarten to 2^nd grade. 
• Stacy Begemann – McQuerry Elementary - $750.00.  The grant will be used to purchase books for Early Childhood and Child Care students. 
• Kim Bell and Bobbi Long – Odessa Upper Elementary - $750.00. The grant will be used to purchase games and hands on materials for grade 3-5 students
• Julie Carver – Odessa Middle School - $750.00.  The grant will be used to assist with purchasing two interactive baby manikins and accessories. 
• Stephanie Clevenger – Odessa High School - $750.00.  The grant will be used to assist with purchasing monogrammed aprons / t-shirts, curriculum for the coffee shop, and hand towels for the students who are involved in this program. 
• Wendy Courtway and Lynnette White – McQuerry Elementary - $750.00.  The grant will be used to purchase two Elmo MO-1 visual presenters that will be used in Kindergarten – 2^nd grade classrooms. 
• Melissa Hall and Stephanie Kuhn – McQuerry Elementary - $750.00.  The grant will be used to purchase seven reading A-Z licenses for one year and four boxes of envelopes, labels and stationary supplies. 
• Travis Lewis – Odessa Middle School - $310.00.  The grant will be used to purchase Science World publications and Academic Support publications for his classroom.
• Evelyn Morgan and Tia Saxon – Odessa Middle School - $675.00.  The grant will be used to purchase a laptop and Camtasia / Snaigt software. 
• Valarie Stark – Odessa Upper Elementary - $500.00.  The grant will be used to purchase six tablets and protective cases for her classroom. 
• Beth Wagner – McQuerry Elementary - $750.00.  The grant will be used to purchase essential picture sorts, game libraries, oral language development and miscellaneous supplies for kindergarten students,
