Odessa R-VII will be offering summer school for students beginning Monday, June 1, 2015 and ending on Friday, June 26, 2015.  Classes will be offered for students K-8 needing to work on basic skills in reading, writing, or math at their grade level.  These Basic Skills classes will be offered at McQuerry Elementary.  Hours of attendance will be from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  Meals will not be served during summer school nor will transportation be provided.  Registration forms for enrollment will be sent home with all eligible Odessa R-VII students soon.

All students entering Kindergarten in 2015-2016 will have an opportunity to get a “Jump Start to Kindergarten”.  Students will be assigned to attend either an a.m. or p.m. session.  The morning session will be 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., while the second session will be 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Students will work on readiness skills and routines for Kindergarten.  If you have questions, please contact the McQuerry Office at 816-633-5334.

High school students will have the opportunity to make-up lost credits by taking a class in Credit Recovery.  Other classes being offered help students work required courses for graduation (Personal Finance, Public Speaking, Health, or Physical Education) into their schedule.  The morning session will be 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., while the second session will be 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.  Classes for high school credit will meet at the Odessa R-7 High School.  If you have any questions please contact the Odessa High School Office 816-633-5533.
