Odessa R-VII Public Foundation 2015 Grant Recipients

Heather Cobb and Nicole Search presented by Odessa R-VII Foundation Honorary Board Member Henry Grubb

The Odessa R-VII Public Foundation Board of Directors presented teacher grants on Friday, February 13, 2015. Ten grant applications were approved. Grants (totaling $7,199.98) were distributed to the following staff members by the Odessa R-VII Foundation Board of Directors. Congratulations to these recipients:

 

  • Heather Cobb and Nicole Search – McQuerry Elementary - $499.99.  The grant will be used to purchase the Adventure to Fitness Online Program at McQuerry.   
  • Herb Schell – McQuerry Elementary - $750.00.  The grant will be used to purchase art supplies including markers, transparency film and pipe cleaners to assist in a 3D simulated glass Dale Chilhuly chandelier project. 
  • Cassie Luppens and Pat Jones – Odessa Upper Elementary - $750.00. The grant will be used to purchase scripts, materials for sets, costumes and miscellaneous items for a school play.
  • Robin Smith - Odessa Upper Elementary - $750.00.  The grant will be used to help pay for the expenses associated with the field trip to the State Capital, Governor’s Mansion and Supreme Court Building in Jefferson City. 
  • Wendy Bross – Odessa Middle School - $750.00.  The grant will be used to purchase a portable digital recorder, memory card, new stereo with CD player / MP3 dock with Blue-Tooth technology for her classroom. 
  • Paula Hawk – Odessa Middle School - $699.99.  The grant will be used to purchase an Epson Stylus wireless photo printer to assist with students as they prepare for National History Day. 
  • Chris Herring and Rachel Ritter – Odessa Middle School - $1,500.00.  The grant will be used to purchase 50 fitness mats and storage rack to be used in their physical education classes. 
  • Leslie Heimsoth – Odessa High School - $750.00.  The grant will be used to purchase two (2) digital microscopes to be used in a vertical team Ecology Project. 
  • Tonya Mallinson – Odessa High School - $750.00.  The grant will be used to purchase one (1) interactive baby manikin and update program on existing manikins and existing equipment for her classroom.
