Connor Marshall’s new original work, Nightspooks and Daydreams, has been selected for performance in The Coterie Theatre’s Young Playwrights’ Festival. His piece will be presented on The Coterie stage Sunday, May 1, at 7:00pm.
Connor was invited to become a member of The Coterie’s Young Playwrights’ Roundtable in April 2015, after participating in the Coterie’s Reaching the Write Minds play writing workshop at Odessa High – a workshop you orchestrated by Mrs. Sarah Renfrow. The members of the Roundtable have each worked to create their own plays or monologues through the course of the year in workshops at The Coterie. Under the mentorship of Artistic Director Jeff Church, Roundtable members listen, critique, and provide feedback to each other in order to develop their work.
Only a handful of works are chosen for performance on The Coterie’s stage. Please congratulate Connor on this outstanding achievement.

SMALL CARD, BIG RESULTS
2016 Odessa Major Saver Campaign
The Odessa R-VII Public Foundation is once again offering Major Saver cards for sale through the Odessa elementary and middle schools. Students will receive the sales packets starting Tuesday, April 19th. Students will be selling the $15 discount cards until Monday, May 2nd. Proceeds from the sale of Major Saver cards directly support the participating schools and the activities of the Odessa R-VII Public Foundation. Last year, the Foundation and schools raised over $10,000 through the sale of the Major Saver cards. The sale of these cards help to award a total of $11,230.50 in teacher grants as well as scholarships for graduating seniors.
Elementary and middle school students will be selling $15 cards starting Tuesday, April 19th through Monday, May 2nd. These exceptional offers include savings at the following establishments: Sky Zone, Price Chopper, Thompson’s Country Kitchen, McDonald’s, Sinclair’s, Jersey Mike’s, Hardee’s, 54th Street, Taco John’s, Babyback’s Rib Shack, Hunt Brothers Pizza, Iron Skillet, Back Yard Burger, Planet Sub, Goodcents, Brewer’s, Tea Room, and Waffle House.
Major Saver cards can be purchased via cash, check or online beginning April 19th at www.majorsaver.com. The online sale can be credited back to a particular student and school. All cards purchased online will be mailed directly to the customer. You can also purchase a card via the Mobile App found on your device’s marketplace. Prizes and credit to the student will be done by the end of the campaign.
Major Saver stresses safe selling and discourages door to door campaigning. The company encourages students to sell to family members, church patrons, neighbors, or other adults the family may know; and to always make sure their parents are involved.
Please consider purchasing one or more Major Saver cards this year to help benefit the Odessa R-VII Public Foundation and the students within the district.
Thank you for your continued support!
