Parents, guardians, and others will soon enjoy the convenience of making their child's meal account payments online through the Odessa R-VII Parent Portal. Online payments will be a simple, safe, and secure way to make payments to your student's account 24 hours a day at your convenience.
Online payments will be made via PayPal. PayPal charges a fee for the use of this service. Checks and cash will still be accepted by OPAA meal personnel. More information will be available prior to school opening in August. Please check the Odessa R-VII website (www.odessa.k12.mo.us) for updates.
Two Odessa TARGET students competed at the state level of the National History Day competition at the University of Missouri-Columbia on Saturday, April 30th. Eighth grader, Reese Wood, took first place in the Junior Individual Exhibit category with his exhibit, Alan Turing: Father of the Modern Computer. Junior, Hannah Scott, took second place in the Senior Individual Exhibit category with her exhibit, A City Under Siege: Delivering Hope One Flight at a Time on the Airbridge to Berlin. Both students advance to national competition , at the University of Maryland-College Park.
Nineteen trap shooters competed at State High School competition on April 30, 2016 at Linn Creek, MO. Each shooter shot 100 rounds. Collin Cobb shot a 99 out of 100, also shooting his first 25 straight. All shooters competed with most shooting their personal best.
The Odessa R-VII Public Foundation Board of Directors presented teacher grants on Friday, February 12, 2016. Sixteen grant applications were approved. Grants (totaling $11,230.50) were distributed to the following staff members by the Odessa R-VII Foundation Board of Directors. Congratulations to these recipients: Donna Gwodz – Odessa High School - $ 750.00. The grant will be used to purchase a Mimio Teach Interactive Board for her mathematics classes.
